Pundit Jamie Carragher has taken to Twitter in order to post a photo alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin – even joking that the Everton ace admitted diving against Liverpool.
Everton travelled to Anfield on Sunday to take on local rivals Liverpool, and were hopeful of a positive result after making a strong start to life under Sam Allardyce with a 2-0 home win over Huddersfield Town.
With Liverpool in strong form though, the Reds were expected to win, and took a first half lead when superstar forward Mohamed Salah bent home a superb curling strike in the first half.

However, Everton did get themselves level in the second half, as Wayne Rooney converted from the penalty spot after Dejan Lovren was adjudged to have fouled Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The incident wasn’t without controversy, as many feel that Calvert-Lewin went down too easily under Lovren’s ‘push’, with Reds fans accusing him of diving.
Everton gladly took the penalty and got out of Anfield with a point, with Jamie Carragher now wading into the debate today having posted a photo of himself alongside Calvert-Lewin today.
Carragher joked that Calvert-Lewin admitted he had dived, before then suggesting that he told both Calvert-Lewin and Everton teammate Tom Davies that they were ‘jammy’ against Liverpool on Sunday.
