Crystal Palace and West Ham United are reportedly eyeing a move for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.

The French international, who has 69 international caps under his belt, was heavily linked with a move to Everton in the summer transfer window.
The report claims that the Toffees had even agreed a £40 million deal for the striker, but Arsene Wenger intervened and prevented the transfer.

Giroud was persuaded to stay on with the lure of regular football, but after failing to make a single start in the Premier League, he is looking for a move elsewhere.
The 31-year-old has made 12 appearances in the Premier League, all from bench, clocking 236 minutes of football action only.

Giroud’s World Cup place is under threat, and he cannot take the chance of missing out on potentially his last finals.
The report claims that Giroud’s wife Jennifer is expecting their third child, and doesn’t want to move away from London. In that case, a move to Everton can be ruled out.
A source close to the player told the Sunday People that Giroud doesn’t want to “disturb and uproot his family”.
Crystal Palace and West Ham are both interested in taking him on a loan deal initially. It is up to Giroud now to make a decision on his future.
