Tottenham will take on Stoke at the Wembley Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Owen has backed Spurs to pick up all three points from the encounter.
Owen, though, has warned that for Spurs to mount a challenge for the Premier League top four, they badly need a win against the Potters.
“Spurs have disappointed in the PL so far this term and they badly need to get back to winning ways if they are to mount a top four challenge,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.
“Indeed Mauricio Pochettino’s side are currently nearer the bottom of the table (16 points) to the top of the table (18 points) which is something of a surprise given their excellent league record in the last couple of years.
“Premier League history will be made at Wembley if the hosts beat Stoke by four or more goals given Spurs have won the last three PL games between the sides 4-0.
“No side has ever beaten another opponent by four or more goals in four successive PL games but a return to winning ways in the league is far more important for the north London outfit.
A footnote added: “Tip: Spurs to lead at halftime/fulltime at 4/5.”
Tottenham have a much better team than Stoke and will be favourites to win against the Potters.
The North London club’s recent results and performances have been disappointing, but there is no doubt that they can step up at Wembley in front of their own fans.
Stoke, though, will not be easy pushovers, and they will relish the chance to play at the Wembley Stadium in London.
It is going to be hard for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, but they should be able to eke out a narrow win.
Tottenham are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment, while Stoke are currently 13th in the standings.
