It has been a long time in coming but Rushian Hepburn-Murphy is on the comeback trail at last.
The 19-year-old has been out of action since September and missed much of last season through injury too but it appears that Aston Villa won’t have too much longer to wait to see their highly-rated striker in action.
Hepburn-Murphy posted a photo on his official Twitter account earlier this week showing him back in training for the first time in a number of months – and it’s fair to say Villa fans were pleased to welcome him back.

Come on RHM, let’s see you back in the first team scoring goals ASAP. Best of luck mate— Ian balfour (@Ianbalfour1) December 5, 2017
Hepburn-Murphy could hardly have returned at a better time for Aston Villa. With Jonathan Kodjia and Scott Hogan sidelined, plenty of pressure has been piled onto fellow youngster Keinan Davis – but he has just two Championship goals to his name for the club so far.
So Hepburn-Murphy, the youngest player to feature in the Premier League for Villa, will fancy his chances of forcing his way into Bruce’s first-team plans over the next few weeks if he can prove his fitness.
The Birmingham-born striker was heavily linked with a move to Rangers last year before belatedly signing a new contract with the Midland giants, as reported by the Daily Record.
And now could be the time for him to remind Villa supporters why he was so recently viewed as one of England’s most talented youngsters.
