Celtic and Rangers fans react to Derek McInnes decision

Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers have been snubbed by former Gers midfielder Derek McInnes, much to the delight of Celtic fans.

Rangers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Derek McInnes deciding to snub the Ibrox managerial role and remain at Aberdeen.

According to a statement on Aberdeen’s official website, McInnes will remain at the Pittodrie Stadium and will not made the switch to Scottish Premiership rivals Rangers.

The Gers’ approach for the 46-year-old former midfielder earlier this week was turned down by the Dons.

Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to McInnes deciding to remain at Aberdeen, and so have Celtic supporters.

While Celtic fans seem to mock Rangers, the Gers’ supporters appear to be happy that they will not have McInnes as their new manager.

Celtic fans on Derek McInnes decision:

Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 37 points from 15 matches.

Rangers are currently second in the standings with 30 points from 16 games, level on points with third-placed Aberdeen.

The Hoops seem set to win the league title this season, while the Gers and the Dons will be aiming to finish second.
