Liverpool cruised to a victory over Spartak Moscow last night, winning 7-0 as they outclassed the Russian champions.
The Reds' attackers ripped Spartak to shreds, and their defence held up their end of the bargain too.
Dejan Lovren was solid once again, and has put in a solid run of form since his Wembley horror show against Tottenham.
At that point it had seemed there may be no way back for the Croatian, but he has bounced back, with the support of fans and manager Jurgen Klopp behind him.
Lovren was substituted early last night too - this time in very different circumstances - with an hour gone and Liverpool 5-0 up.
The defender was being saved ahead of this weekend's Merseyside derby against Everton.
He will have a big role to play and will need to continue the form he has shown in the last month.
A solid performance to help see off Everton will confirm his transformation back into a dependable option from being seen as a liability.
Here is a look at how Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter to Lovren's performance...
If Dejan Lovren's name was Virgil van Dijk, #LFC fans would've been sat here banging on about how he is the best CB in the League.— ً (@ffsWijnaIdum) December 6, 2017
I genuinely believed Dejan Lovren’s Liverpool career was over after Tottenham. He has done magnificently to come back, and no doubt proved me wrong. #LFC— Sam Patterson (@sam0007ster) December 6, 2017
The Lovren of the past month has to be the Lovren we see every week. Has played well. #LFC— Jamie Fitzsimmons (@JFFitzsimmons) December 6, 2017
More bemusing subs from Klopp. Not sure what the need to rest Lovren is. Wijnaldum in Central Defence would do as good a job. #LFC— FSG OUT (@StrictlyScouser) December 6, 2017
Lovren has been immense since that catastrophic Spurs display. Deserves so much credit #lfc— Taylor (@tayIorsport) December 6, 2017
