Newcastle United have reportedly been scouting the Turkish attacking midfielder.
According to TurksVoetbal.net, Newcastle United are keeping a close eye on Trabzonspor's attacking midfielder Yusuf Yazici, but what could that mean for current Magpies player Ayoze Perez?
After all, the Spaniard is tasked with scoring and creating in his role as either a secondary striker or an attacking midfielder, and he has fallen well short in that regard, managing only one goal and one assist in 14 appearances this season.
In contrast Yazici, who is four years younger than Perez, has already scored two and set up three in the same number of games, while his return of 10 goals and 16 assists in only 45 games for his current club speaks volumes for his talent.
By the time he is Perez's age, he could be one of the finest attacking midfielders in Europe, such is his reputation and innate talent, and Newcastle would be wise to snap him up before someone else does.
Perez has done little to impress at Newcastle this season, much like the strikers ahead of him, with only Dwight Gayle showing glimpses of what he is capable of, and the £1.5million signing from Tenerife continues to be a frustrating figure on Tyneside.
Magpies boss Rafa Benitez needs more creative spark and the highly sought after Yazici could be that man, although he will not come cheap and Newcastle will have to go all out to get their man come January.
