West Brom youngsters impress in FA Youth Cup victory

West Bromwich Albion are through to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup.

West Bromwich Albion secured their place in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup with a 4-0 victory over Leyton Orient last night, with two of the club's standout youngsters impressing.

Winger Nick Clayton-Phillips and forward Rayhaan Tulloch both hit braces as West Brom's talented U18 side prevailed at The Hawthorns, as reported by the club's official website.

Clayton-Phillips opened the scoring with just two minutes gone as he found the net with a fierce strike and he doubled both of his and West Brom's tally before half-time with another well-taken goal.

England youth international Tulloch got on the scoresheet in the early stages of the second half and added another to confirm the victory, despite Orient briefly threatening.

18-year-old Clayton-Phillips, who is usually deployed on the left wing, has featured frequently for West Brom's U23 side this season, while he also played in the EFL Trophy and is very highly regarded within the club.

Meanwhile, exciting secondary striker Tulloch is just 16. He has already impressed at U23 level this campaign and looks set for a bright future, with the hope being that he can eventually make the step up to the first-team.
