HITC Sport understands a number of clubs are chasing Norwich keeper on loan.
Remi Matthews in action for Plymouth Argyle
Norwich City goalkeeper Remi Matthews is in line for a loan move away from the club in January, HITC Sport understands.
Matthews is currently back at Norwich after a successful spell on loan at League One Plymouth Argyle earlier this season.
The 23-year-old impressed during his loan stint at Home Park keeping four clean sheets in seven appearances for the Pilgrims before an injury cut short his loan spell early.
Matthews has come through the ranks at Norwich, but is yet to make his first-team debut for the Canaries.
Matthews is highly-regarded within the corridors of power at Norwich, but he has been unable to force his way into the No.1 shirt at Carrow Road.
Norwich are well stocked for goalkeepers this season with Angus Gunn, Michael McGovern and Paul Jones all among their ranks along with Matthews and they are prepared to let him go out on loan again when the transfer window reopens in January.
A number of League One clubs are understood to have made enquiries about Matthews' availability already and Norwich will weigh up the options for the keeper.
Matthews has enjoyed five loan spells away from Norwich in the last couple of the seasons so that he can get valuable first-team experience under his belt and it looks like he will make it six in the New Year.
