Pochettino shares what Tottenham's Georges-Kevin N'Koudou has finally realised

The Tottenham Hotspur winger has failed to impress during his time in north London.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media during his pre-match conference, ahead of his side's Champions League game with APOEL tonight, and discussed the possibility of Georges-Kevin N'Koudou being given more game-time, with the Frenchman impressing during training recently, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.

The 22-year-old joined Tottenham from Marseille on transfer deadline day in the summer of 2016, but has proven to be nothing other than a total flop thus far, making 21 appearances and failing to register a single goal for his club.

It could be argued that the transition from Ligue 1 to the Premier League, especially for someone so young, is an incredibly big jump, from both a physical and technical aspect.

N'Koudou has been with Spurs for just over 15 months now, however, and will surely have to prove himself during the remainder of the season, if he is to have any chance of a future at the club.

Pochettino responded to a question asking him if he plans on including the 22-year-old winger in Spurs' upcoming games, as quoted by Football.London:

Tottenham Hotspur Manager Mauricio Pochettino during the Pre-Season Friendly match between Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus on August 5, 2017 in London, England.

"I am happy with him in the last few weeks. He started to realise that he needed to improve in many things. It's true that he's so young. I wanted to give him before an opportunity before but maybe it was impossible. Maybe tomorrow he will have the possibility to play and to prove that he can help the team and start to grow up."

Tonight seems like the ideal game for Poch to give N'Koudou the opportunity to impress, with his side already qualified for the knock-out stages of the Champions League as group winners.

One thing is for certain, the Frenchman must really grasp any chance that he is given by the Argentine, because he might not have too many more.
