The former Aston Villa ace spoke highly of his time in the west Midlands.
Ex-Villa star Carlos Cuellar offered an impassioned message to the club's fans, when writing a column for AVFC.co.uk, suggesting that his best years in the game were spent at Villa Park.
The 36-year-old is now plying his trade in Israel with Ironi Kiryat, after spending eight years in Britain with Rangers, Villa, Sunderland and Norwich City.
Cuellar, who spent four years at Villa Park, shared how the best moments of his career were spent playing with the west Midlands club, when writing a column for AVFC.co.uk:
"I hope you are all enjoying the season and our terrific form as we continue our promotion push. I have great memories of my time with the club – my best years were at Villa Park."
The Spaniard was part of one of the best Villa teams in recent history, with his side chalking up consecutive 6th placed finishes in the Premier League in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
Things have not been going quite so well over the past few years, however, with the Villans slow decline culminating in their relegation to the Championship in 2016.
With Steve Bruce now at the helm though, and Villa currently sitting in fifth spot in the Championship table, things are starting to look brighter at Villa Park, with promotion back to the Premier League firmly in their sights.
