The West Yorkshire outfit are one of the biggest clubs in England, but they have not featured in the Premier League since 2004.
Leeds centre-back Jansson has shared his love for the Whites as well as for Malmo, and has suggested that he will get a tattoo if the team return to the Premier League.
Jansson told The Express: This club is so huge, it has to be in the Premier League. I remember 15 years ago when they were in the Champions League.
“I always said I only have one team in my heart and that is Malmo, who I supported as a boy, but now I have Leeds. They are not in my heart yet, but maybe in the future. And maybe I’ll get a Leeds tattoo if we go up.”
Jansson joined Leeds on a season-long loan deal from Torino in the summer of 2016 and made the move permanent in the summer of 2017 for a fee reported by The Yorkshire Evening Post to be worth £3.5 million.
The Sweden international is one of the best centre-backs in the Championship and is a key figure in the current Whites’ squad.
