Sam Allardyce has worked with Van Aanholt at both Sunderland and Palace, and is now said to be keen on a third reunion.
If Everton were to sign Van Aanholt, then they could have one of the best attacking full-back combinations in England.
With Seamus Coleman set to return from injury and play at right-back, Van Aanholt would back the Republic of Ireland international up well on the other flank.
Coleman is a keen provider of goals and assists at Goodison Park, and his return to fitness will be a major boost.
Leighton Baines is Everton’s main pick at left-back currently, but he has shown signs of age more recently.
Van Aanholt would offer Everton a different threat though, as he poses far more energy and pace than Baines.
The Dutchman may not have provided a goal or an assist for Palace this season, but he has proven before, when working with Allardyce, that he can be a huge danger.
Van Aanholt has scored five times in each of the last two seasons, and if he was to arrive at Everton then it could give Allardyce one of the most dangerous full-back pairings in the whole of the Premier League.
