Everton are keen on signing Arsenal winger Theo Walcott, according to The Mail.

Walcott has been out of favour at Arsenal this season, making only three Premier League appearances as a substitute for a combined 47 minutes of football.

Walcott needs a move if he is going to revitalise his fading World Cup 2018 selection hopes, and Everton boss Sam Allardyce may be just the man to do it.

Sam Allardyce looks on from the stand during the Premier League match between Everton and West Ham United at Goodison Park on November 29, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

Sam Allardyce selected Walcott in his very first England squad, and the winger admitted at the time he was a fan of the manager's effectiveness.

Walcott told SkySports: "Sam Allardyce has come in and everyone starts on a clean slate. I'm excited to see what he is going to bring.

"He gets the best out of his players. He knows how to get results.

"His teams were always difficult to play against... I'm sure he is going to get results. At times, it is not all about pretty football."

Everton brought Allardyce in to get results and drag the team up the table, and likewise Walcott cannot be fussy at all right now.

The former wonderkid is 28 and should be at his peak, but his career is at it's lowest point since he joined the Gunners.

Now is the time to move on and Everton may be his best option.
