Confirmed Manchester United team to face CSKA Moscow: Shaw and Herrera among six changes

Manchester United need a point to qualify, but may have one eye on Sunday's derby against Manchester City.

A point against CSKA Moscow on Tuesday will see Manchester United finish top of Group A. The Red Devils, who host their league-leading rivals Manchester City on Sunday, are all but guaranteed to progress through to the last-16, but a seven goal defeat would send them into the Europa League.

Manager Jose Mourinho has therefore given nights off to several of his big names, including David de Gea, Nemanja Matic, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Michael Carrick, with lesser-spotted United players, Sergio Romero, Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Ander Herrera coming into his 11.

Shaw in particular, who hinted at his inclusion in a cryptic Instagram post on Tuesday afternoon, will be desperate to prove his worth with the January transfer window looming and reports rife of a move away from Old Trafford.

Having been ruled out of Manchester City's visit through suspension, Paul Pogba keeps his United place in a bid to continue his recent momentum.
