Leeds United fans have gone from wishing Garry Monk would be their manager - to enjoying his gradual demise.

Monk rejected the chance to stay at Leeds in the summer after an impressive 2016/17 season, and chose to take the Middlesbrough job.

Boro are currently below Leeds in the table, and the increased expectation on the promotion favourites is weighing heavily on Monk.

The team lost 2-1 to Bristol City at the weekend, and are now in ninth place in the table, six points behind the play-offs.

Pressure is building on Monk, with the Boro Gazette slamming the manager and the team's performances.

Today's back page exclaimed how fans are 'sick' of the football at the Riverside, and drastic improvements is needed.

 

Still sick themselves from seeing Monk quit on the club in June, Leeds United fans reacted with joy at Monk's increasing struggles.
