Everton signing Richarlison would prove Sam Allardyce's critics wrong

Everton are said to be interested in signing Richarlison from Watford.

According to the Gambling Times, Everton boss Sam Allardyce wants Watford’s Richarlison at Goodison Park.

Richarlison has been a revelation since moving to the Premier League last summer, and Everton are now keen to snap the Brazilian up.

Allardyce has reportedly been impressed by Richarlison’s start to life on Merseyside, which has seen him contribute five goals and four assists so far.

If Everton did sign Richarlison, it would go a long way to proving some critics of Allardyce’s appointment wrong.

A section of the Goodison Park crowd has expressed concerns that Allardyce would not be committed to providing them with the entertaining style of football they have come to expect.

Allardyce has been famed for a defensive approach, with the veteran manager’s side’s often playing a lot of direct football.

But Richarlison’s arrival would surely show that Allardyce is trying to provide Everton with the stylish form of football that they want to see.

And if the Toffees were able to complete the transfer for the 20-year-old Watford man it would be their most exciting addition for a number of years.
