Liverpool are keen to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window.

According to a report in the Daily Express, Liverpool are considering making three major transfers in the January transfer window.

Liverpool are locked in a battle for a top four place, with areas of weakness appearing in their squad.

The Reds have looked devastating on the counter attack, but their defensive problems from last season have remained.

And Liverpool are now keen to bring in a defender and a goalkeeper in the January transfer window.

Simon Mignolet is Liverpool’s current number one, but he has not looked very assured in net throughout the campaign.

Southampton centre-back Virgil van Dijk also remains on Jurgen Klopp’s wishlist, despite Liverpool’s failure to sign the Dutchman in the summer.

The Express claim that Aubameyang will leave Dortmund in January, after forcing a move.

And Klopp is believed to want to bring the Gabon international to Anfield, in what would surely be one of the most exciting transfers Liverpool have completed in a number of years.
