Liverpool overcame Brighton and Hove Albion with ease this weekend.
Liverpool were at their free-flowing best on Saturday as they overcame Brighton and Hove Albion 5-1 at the Amex Stadium, but not all the Reds' players left the field with the praise of their fans ringing in their ears.
Liverpool's victory came courtesy of a Roberto Firmino brace, goals from Emre Can and Philippe Coutinho and an own-goal from Lewis Dunk, with Brighton's consolation scored by Glenn Murray from the penalty spot. However Jordan Henderson was nowhere near his best in the centre of the park, leaving some Reds supporters to wonder if he is coming to the end of his time as a regular Anfield starter.
At just 27, the Liverpool skipper will feel he still has plenty to offer and no doubt intends to stick around for years to come. Yet for that to happen he will need to play far better than he has managed this season.
After a 5-1 victory away from home, fans should be praising every player on the pitch, not picking holes in one who should know better, and it is telling that the criticism remains despite the healthy score-line.
Henderson has racked up 259 appearances for Liverpool and if he wants to become an all-time great at the club, he needs to up his game considerably.
After the match we took to Twitter to see what Liverpool fans thought of Henderson's latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
Feeling like Henderson time in the team coming to an end really not looking like the player we had 2 seasons ago— Jelani Thomas (@jelani76us) December 3, 2017

Henderson is a bad footballer. There. I said it. He has terrible awareness, poor reactions, average touch, average passing ability, awful finishing, can’t keep the tempo, can’t dictate the game.— Jumanji CT LFC AO (@LFCConnecticut) December 2, 2017
How long is Klopp going to keep up the chairty for him? It’s embarassing. #LFC
First meaningful thing Henderson has done for ages. Poor player. #LFC— Chris Hodgson (@MrScouse) December 2, 2017
3-4-3, central midfield two of Henderson & Milner absolutely horrendous. Worst midfield pairing in the leauge. Klopp's weak spot. Brighton poor as expected. #LFC— NE Mossing (@NilsMossing) December 2, 2017
Henderson has been terrible.— Sallinger Mate (@SouthAmericaLad) December 2, 2017
He's turning out to be worst than his haters claimed at the start of the season. #LFC
