Leeds United almost completed one of the bargain transfers of the summer by bringing Ollie Watkins to Elland Road, but they must feel gutted about not snapping up the 21-year-old now.
Watkins has adapted to Championship life with consummate ease, and already looks like one of the most threatening attacking players in the division.
Watkins absolutely tormented Fulham for Brentford yesterday, as he scored and provided an assist in a 3-1 victory for the Bees.
The striker now has eight goals to his name for the campaign, and he could have been brilliant at Leeds.
The Whites actually brought some brilliant attacking quality to the club in the summer, with Gianni Alisoki and Samu Saiz both impressing.
But a forward line containing those two and Watkins could have been one of the most dynamic in the whole of the Championship.
And Leeds must look back with some regret now, as Watkins looks to have been one of the best buys completed by any club in England last summer.
