The Arsenal forward impressed despite the Gunners losing on Saturday, with the fans quickly realising they have a gem on their hands.
Arsenal may have lost 3-1 to Manchester United this weekend, but on another day the Gunners could have racked up a record score against Jose Mourinho's men.
While United were quickest out of the blocks, racing into a 2-0 lead gifted to them by defensive mistakes, Arsenal tried time and again to beat an inspired David de Gea and will still be wondering how they only managed to score one goal.
Alexandre Lacazette scored Arsenal's goal to initially halve United's advantage, but it was the visitors who struck next and from there they shut up shop, But Gunners fans will have surely now seen enough of the Frenchman to know they have a potential superstar on their hands.
Lacazette's latest strike was his eighth in an Arsenal shirt and he will score plenty more between now and May, with his movement, confidence and finishing ability all clear to see.
De Gea took all the plaudits with a superhuman display in between the posts but that should take nothing away from Lacazette, who did everything but add to his first-half strike.
After the match we took to Twitter to see what Arsenal fans thought Lacazette's latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
Lacazette is better than I thought. Elite striker.

One thing yesterday showed was Lacazette is much better than Lukaku.

Lacazette is going to be the guy that turns our one or two nil wins into fours & fives. Would not be surprised if he hits 30th this season. He’s settled so well.

If anyone is thinking Lacazette is that good now, imagine next season with a full years experience behind him in the premier league. The bloke is looking unreal.

Shoutout to Lacazette as well. Thank god we’ve finally got an absolute #9 at our club. The man’s a machine.
