Graham Roberts has taken to social networking site Twitter to launch a strong defence of Tottenham Hotspur.

The former Tottenham defender defended Spurs for their recent runs of bad results.

Spurs failed to win against Watford away from home at Vicarage Road in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The 1-1 draw with the Hornets has further dented Tottenham’s chances of winning the Premier League title this season.

With Manchester City in red-hot form and Manchester United effectively picking up wins, it is hard to see Spurs challenge for the Premier League title this season.

Even a top-four finish looks uncertain at the moment, and some fans are understandably frustrated and disappointed.

Former Tottenham defender Roberts has strongly defended Pochettino’s team on Twitter and also sent a message to star striker Harry Kane.

Tottenham are going through a bad spell and there is a slump in form, but fans should retain faith in Pochettino and the players.

After all, it is the same group that have finished third and second in the Premier League in the past two seasons.
