Pochettino's response when asked if Tottenham can win the league

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media for his pre-match press conference yesterday, and responded to a question asking him if his side can catch league leaders Manchester City this season, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.

Tottenham have really struggled in recent weeks, taking just one point from their last three outings, while Pep Guardiola's side continue to sweep aside any team that gets in their way.

The Citizens have taken an incredible 40 points from their opening 14 league games, and currently sit 16 points clear of the Lilywhites, although both sides still have 24 games remaining in the Premier League.

Pochettino sat down for his pre-match press conference yesterday, and lauded City for their superb start to the season, and responded when asked if his team can catch Guardiola's side, as quoted by Football.London:

"It's true that today Manchester City create a massive gap, not only with us but other teams. It's near the beginning of December and they are doing so good. For us we need to keep going, try to win, do better and improve. The challenge like in every season is to try to win games and to build our reality step by step."

Next up for Tottenham is a trip to Vicarage Road to take on Watford, and it will be vitally important for them to return to winning ways as soon as possible, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of catching City.
