Newcastle United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the recent appointment of Sam Allardyce as the Everton manager.

Allardyce has recently been appointed as the Everton boss, succeeding Ronald Koeman at Goodison Park.

Koeman was dismissed by the Toffees in October following a run of disappointing results in the Premier League and in the Europa League.

David Unsworth was placed in temporary charge of Everton, who have now appointed Allardyce as their manager.

The 63-year-old is a very good manager who knows the Premier League inside out, and the Goodison Park faithful should be confident of prosperity under him.

Allardyce was in charge of Newcastle from the summer of 2007 until January 2008 and did not have a good time at St. James’ Park.
