Celtic youngster Liam Henderson has sent a message to Brendan Rodgers with a wonder strike for the club's development side - and fans have discussed his future at the club on Twitter.

The 21-year-old picked the ball up around 40 yards from goal before curling an effort that flew past St. Johnstone's goalkeeper into the top corner with the help of the post, in a 3-1 win for the Hoops' academy side.

His goal was the third of Celtic's win, after younger brother Ewan had scored an impressive goal of his own in the first half that was almost identical to Liam's effort - albeit closer to the St. Johnstone goal.

The former Rosenborg and Hibernian loanee has just a matter of months remaining on his contract at Lennoxtown, and has played just 23 minutes of senior football this season as a substitute in a league game against Dundee in October.

He remains behind the likes of Callum McGregor, Tom Rogic and Patrick Roberts in the Celtic pecking order, with his future beyond the 2017-18 season in huge doubt.

Celtic fans reacted to his excellent strike on Twitter, with some stating that he deserves more first-team football while others believe his future lies away from Rodgers' side.
