The Everton winger has barely got a look-in despite his undeniable talent.
The last minute of Everton's 4-0 victory against West Ham United saw Ademola Lookman introduced, and one wonders if the Toffees new permanent manager Sam Allardyce will finally unleash the 20-year-old unlike his predecessor Ronald Koeman.
The Dutchman overlooked the youngster time and again, despite Lookman making his breakthrough at Goodison Park last season, while interim boss David Unsworth only used the exciting prospect sparingly, with his brief cameo against the Hammers one such example.
There is no doubting Lookman's ability and in time he is expected to be a star for club and country. However many Everton fans are keen to see what he can do on a regular basis and it will be interesting to see how much game time Allardyce grants him in the months ahead.
The new Everton boss may not be famed for his free-flowing attacking football but he has had some wonderful talents at his disposal in the past and he will surely be relishing the chance to work with Lookman.
Everton's latest performance showed just what they are capable of when they play to their full potential, and adding the sparkle that Lookman brings would be another step in the right direction.
First Allardyce will want to look at exactly what he has inherited and from there, do not be surprised if Lookman finally gets the chances his talent deserves.
