Woeful West Ham: Hammers' player ratings after 4-0 Everton loss

Joe Hart of West Ham United look dejected after the Premier League match between Everton and West Ham United at Goodison Park on November 29, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

West Ham United got absolutely dismantled as David Moyes returned to Goodison Park to face former club Everton. Who did well and who struggled?

Goalkeeper: Joe Hart - 2/10

Rash to give away the penalty, excellent to save it, then unlucky on the rebound. But that was merely pre-amble. His decision to come out and clear the ball just after the hour, only to clear it straight to Rooney and allow him to score from inside his own half was staggering stupidity.

Right-back: Pablo Zabaleta - 4/10

Utterly hopeless.

Centre-back: Winston Reid - 5/10

Worked hard but could do little about any of the goals. Left the field injured.

Centre-back: Angelo Ogbonna - 3/10

Got absolutely dominated by Calvert-Lewin in the air (winning just 1/6 aerial duels against him). Messed up for the first two goals West Ham conceded too. A night to forget.

Left-back: Aaron Cresswell - 5/10

So unlucky to cannon a shot off the angle of post and bar at 2-0. Played well defensively but too ineffective in attack.

Defensive midfield: Pedro Obiang - 4/10

Couldn't get to grips with Davies' runs nor Rooney's passing. Failed to intercept the pass that made it 2-0. Hooked at half-time.

Central midfield: Cheikhou Kouyaté - 4/10

Dreadful performance capped by simply letting Rooney run off him for the second goal.

Right-wing: Marko Arnautovic - 4/10

Worked hard in defence and attack but had no impact at either end. Comically failed to intercept the pass that let Rooney make it 2-0. Taken off after an hour.

Attacking midfield: Manuel Lanzini- 6/10

Struggled in the first half but began flexing his muscles in the second period. Played Cresswell through for West Ham's best chance, but saw his penalty saved.

Left-wing: Arthur Masuaku - 4/10

Ran hard up and down the left and was always available as an outlet, but used the ball horribly.

Striker: André Ayew - 5/10

Struggled as a striker in the first half. Struggled a bit less as a no. 10 in the second half.

Diafra Sakho: - 5/10

Came on for Obiang at half-time. Did well to win a penalty that was sadly not converted.

Michael Antonio: - 5/10

Came on for Arnautovic after 61 minutes. Added a bit more thrust to West Ham.

Declan Rice: - n/a

Came on for Reid after 77 minutes.
