Rafa Benitez will be hopeful of a transfer kitty at Newcastle ahead of the January transfer window.
Newcastle United are reportedly willing to listen to offers for six senior stars in the January transfer window as Toon boss Rafa Benitez looks to raise some cash for new signings, according to the Evening Chronicle.
The report claims that goalkeeper Karl Darlow will be allowed to leave despite being recalled to Benitez's starting eleven after Ireland international Rob Elliot had conceded seven times in two matches.
The Toon were willing to sell Darlow in the summer, and he could now be offloaded while fellow shot-stopper Freddie Woodman is said to be keen to leave on loan in the upcoming transfer window with chance at a premium.
Midfielder Jack Colback was not selected among the 25-man Premier League squad by Benitez and is continuing to train with the Magpies' second string. A January move is almost nailed on for the former Sunderland man.
Serbia international Aleksander Mitrovic continues to be at the forefront of speculation surrounding his future and it is of no surprise for the report to claim that the former Anderlecht man could leave, with the Toon ready to consider offers.
Gayle fired the Toon to the Premier League last season with 23 goals in the Championship, while Mbemba, who is known for his power in defence, has featured five times in the top tier of English football throughout the 2017-18 campaign.
The report states that only one of Gayle and Mitrovic will allowed to be sold, but the former Crystal Palace forward could be first to depart. Powerhouse Mbemba is yet to convince Benitez at St. James' Park, despite the Spaniard being in his third season as boss.
It remains to be seen if Newcastle will have money to spend in January, as Amanda Staveley's PCP Capital Partners continue in their takeover bid of the north east outfit. It is believed that if they do replace Mike Ashley, money will be given to Benitez.
