Everton have endured a torrid time so far this season, with the club just two points outside the relegation zone in the Premier League and eliminated from the Carabao Cup and Europa League.

Many believe that one of their main issues was the failure to adequately replace Romelu Lukaku over the summer following their top-scorer's departure to Manchester United.

Several names from the English top flight have been linked with the Toffees, but here are three strikers from the Championship would could potentially fill the void.

Jonathan Kodjia

This could depend entirely on just how serious the Ivorian's latest setback in his recovery from a broken ankle is, with Kodjia having not played since October 29 after going over on the same ankle and Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce telling Sky Sports "we fear the worst".

However, over the past two seasons the 28-year-old has been in stunning form in the second tier of English football, scoring 37 league goals for Bristol City and Villa.

Nelson Oliveira

Another who has struggled with fitness issues this term but despite his erratic playing time the Norwich City attacker has still managed to score five times in 13 league appearances.

Oliveira appears to be something of a spiky character and has already had disputes with Canaries boss Daniel Farke, but the 26-year-old also has the ability to create an opportunity out of nothing.

Kenneth Zohore

Physically this Cardiff City star is probably the closest resemblance to Lukaku, relying on his strength and power to create and score chances in and around the box.

Zohore is also the youngest on this list at 23-years-old and while not as prolific in 2017/18 just yet as he was last campaign, the Dane certainly has great potential.
