Fernando Llorente missed a sitter as Tottenham pushed for an equaliser.
Tottenham Hotspur slipped to a second defeat in three games as they were beaten by Leicester City.
Spurs were 2-0 down before substitute Erik Lamela added some urgency into their play, providing an assist for Harry Kane to pull a goal back.
Tottenham came close to adding an equaliser, but Fernando Llorente missed a clear cut chance from within five yards of the goal.
His effort was panned by SkySports pundit Matt Murray, who gave his reaction to SkySports News HQ after the Spaniard's blunder.
He said: "Anywhere on target, and it's a goal. It was a massive, massive chance for Tottenham to get back in this game. An unbelievable chance for Spurs."
Harry Kane later had an effort well saved by Kasper Schmeichel, with Leicester holding on to claim an important victory.
Llorente is still looking for his first goal for Spurs since signing from Swansea City in the summer.
The striker could well have a big impact later in the season, but Spurs needed him last night, and he failed to step up.
Erik Lamela's contribution was a big positive for Tottenham. Llorente's continued struggles remain a pressing concern.
