Report claims West Bromwich Albion chairman’s wish regarding new manager, Alan Pardew demand

According to The Times, Alan Pardew wants a three-year contract at West Bromwich Albion.

It has been reported that the former Newcastle United and West Ham United boss has asked for a three-year deal to become the new West Brom boss.

It has been claimed that Pardew wants a deal that runs until 2020 as well a significant bonus for keeping West Brom in the Premier League.

The Times has also reported that the club’s chairman, John Williams, wants a British manager at The Hawthorns.

“John Williams, the chairman, is believed to have strongly advocated the appointment of a British manager in discussions with the club’s owner, Guochuan Lai, and with Sam Allardyce not interested in the job as he considers a renewed approach from Everton, Pardew is viewed as the best available candidate,” states the report in The Times.

West Brom are an established Premier League club, but there is a danger that they could get relegated to the Champioship at the end of the season.

The Baggies need to put together a run of positive results in order to pull away from home the relegation zone.
