Michael Ball has stated in The Liverpool Echo that he is baffled that Kevin Mirallas still gets a game for Liverpool.

The former Everton defender has suggested that Mirallas is not good enough to play for the Merseyside outfit.

Kevin Mirallas of Everton scores his team's second goal during the Premier League match between Everton and Manchester City at Goodison Park on January 15, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

Ball wrote in The Liverpool Echo: “Kevin Mirallas, for example, should he be wearing an Everton shirt?

“His job is to create goals or score goals as an attacking midfielder but when was the last time he did that?

“I'm baffled how he still gets a game for Everton because he isn't showing anything but he's certainly not alone.”

Kevin Mirallas of Everton looks dejected during the Premier League match between Manchester United and Everton at Old Trafford on September 17, 2017 in Manchester, England.

Mirallas has been on the books of Everton since the summer of 2012 when he joined from Olympiakos for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £6 million.

The 30-year-old winger has proved himself in the Premier League, but the Belgium international is not playing well at the moment.

The former Saint-Etienne star has scored no goals or provided any assist in five Premier League appearances for Everton so far this season.

During the 2016-17 campaign, Mirallas scored four goals and provided six assists in 23 league starts for the Toffees.

Everton are struggling in the Premier League at the moment and are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
