Tim Cahill has suggested that everyone at Everton needs to ‘rally together’, if they are to get out of the current mess they are in.

Everton were beaten 4-1 by Southampton at St. Mary’s yesterday, as the Toffees’ woeful form continued.

Caretaker boss David Unsworth has faced criticism after Everton’s latest defeat to the Saints.

But Cahill has urged the Goodison Park crowd to stick together, with relegation fears rising.

Everton’s defeat to Southampton yesterday was particularly concerning, as they were well off the pace.

Gylfi Sigurdsson scored a great goal, but Southampton otherwise dominated the contest, and the south coast side were ruthless as they strolled to three points.

Everton are currently in 16th place in the Premier League table - and they sit two points above the drop zone.
