Tottenham Hotspur’s chances of winning the Premier League title suffered a blow this weekend, as they failed to pick up maximum points against West Bromwich Albion.
Spurs failed to win against West Brom at home on Saturday afternoon and had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
The Baggies took the lead through Salomon Rondon as early as the fourth minute, and Spurs had to wait until the 74th minute to get the equaliser through Harry Kane.
The performance of Mauricio Pochettino’s side was very disappointing, as they failed to break down a stubborn West Brom defence.
The result means that Spurs are now fifth in the Premier League table with 24 points from 13 matches.
Tottenham are a point behind bitter North London rivals and fourth-placed Arsenal, and are as many as 13 points behind leaders Manchester City.
