Tony Watt suggests Rangers need Derek McInnes

Former Celtic forward Tony Watt has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Rangers need to appoint Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes as their new manager.

Watt, who is now on the books of Belgian club OH Leuven, made the suggestion following Rangers’ 2-1 defeat to Dundee away from home in the Scottish Premiership on Friday evening.

It was the Gers’ second successive defeat in the Scottish Premiership under caretaker-manager Graeme Murty.

Former Celtic forward Watt, who was on the books of the Glasgow giants from 2011 until 2014, has suggested that Rangers need to appoint McInnes as their new manager.

The 23-year-old Scotsman has also stated that Dundee, who are struggling for survival in the Scottish Premiership at the moment, needed the win.

McInnes is in charge of Aberdeen at the moment, and according to BBC Sport, Rangers want him to be their next permanent manager.

Meanwhile, Dundee defender Darren O’Dea, who started his professional club football career at Celtic, has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the win against Rangers.
