Leeds United have plenty of top talent coming through their academy at present, some are regulars in the first-team at Elland Road. Others, on the other hand, have to be sent out on loan to test their mettle and gain valuable Football League experience.

One such player is left-back Tyler Denton. He is currently out on loan at Port Vale, but has struggled to cement himself a place as a regular starter at Vale Park in recent weeks.

Speaking to the Stoke Sentinel this week the talented defender spoke about his time with the League Two club this campaign and conversations he has had with manager Neil Aspin about his playing time:

“We have had a few chats and we really get on.

"Every one of the boys says it shows that, since he has come in, we will fight for him, for the shirt and each other. I think that is what he has really got out of us.”

Denton, who has played 12 league games for the Valiants this season, will of course be looking to impress at the club with one eye on a potential future at Elland Road.

He scored on his debut for Leeds last season, the winner v Luton Town in a League Cup clash, but needs to do more to push on from that excellent start.
