Rangers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Ange Postecoglou’s decision to resign from his role as the Australia national football team head coach.

According to ESPN, Postecoglou is interested in the managerial role at Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.

The Gers are on the hunt for a new permanent manger following the departure of Pedro Caixinha.

Graeme Murty is in charge of the Rangers first team at the moment, but it is unlikely that he will be given the role on a permanent basis.

Postecoglou has quit his role as the Australia national team head coach despite guiding the team to the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia next summer.

The 52-year-old led the Socceroos to the 2014 World Cup finals as well as to 2015 AFC Asian Cup success.

Rangers fans, though, are not impressed with Postecoglou’s decision to resign from his role as the Australia national football team head coach after leading them to the World Cup.
