Glasgow Rangers' Alfredo Morelos has not scored in nine games and could be putting off potential suitors.

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has been struggling for form since mid-September and his two-month goal drought could put off potential suitors in January.

The 21-year-old striker signed for Rangers in the summer from Finnish outfit HJK and he earned plenty of admirers in the early stages of his career at Ibrox, netting six goals in his first six games.

Championship giants Aston Villa sent scouts to watch the youngster ahead of a potential January move, as did Derby County, Reading, Bristol City and Barnsley, according to The Scotsman.

However, Morelos has since gone on a goal drought spanning nine SPL matches and that could be a potential warning to Villa manager Steve Bruce ahead of any January bid.

The Villans are enduring an attacking injury crisis, with Scott Hogan, Jonathan Kodjia and Gabby Agbonlahor all on the sidelines and the attacking hopes of the team pinned on top scorer Albert Adomah and teenager Keinan Davis.

Morelos remains Rangers' top scorer, but the Colombian needs to end his goal drought soon or see his confidence severely dented.
