Richard Keys has questioned whether either Sunderland or Everton realise how much trouble they are in, due to the length of time they have taken to appoint new managers.

Sunderland and Everton parted company with Simon Grayson and Ronald Koeman, respectively, over a fortnight ago, but they have not found their replacements yet.

Sunderland have only just started interviewing potential candidates to takeover, with an appointment seemingly some way from being announced.

Everton, meanwhile, are still deciding who to appoint - with their top target unclear.

Everton have been heavily linked with Sam Allardyce and Marco Silva, but getting either of the pair has proven to be problematic.

Sunderland and Everton now face the very real prospect of going into their next match with their caretaker bosses still in charge.

The Black Cats currently have Robbie Stockdale in temporary charge, while Everton have David Unsworth at the helm.

Sunderland are currently sat at the bottom of the Championship table, while Everton are in 15th place in the Premier League table.
