Should David Unsworth be handed the Everton managerial role on a permanent contract?

Unsworth is in temporary charge of the Everton first team following the departure of Ronald Koeman as the manager.

“I would give it to him until the end of the season,” said Wilkins about Unsworth on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Friday morning (06:23am, November 10, 2017).
Unsworth’s time as the Everton first-team manager so far has been mixed, although one needs to admit that it is hard for anyone to do much in just four matches.

The 44-year-old cannot be judged either way, but the fact is that he is inexperienced in terms of top-flight management.
The season is still quite early, and Everton can still finish in the top 10 of the Premier League table, perhaps even end up seventh like they did in 2016-17.
After all, the Merseyside outfit are only eight points behind Liverpool, and just 11 rounds of matches have been played in the Premier League so far this season.
