West Ham United are looking to pull away from the relegation zone under new manager David Moyes – and that may involve major changes in the January transfer window.

The Hammers sacked manager Slaven Bilic on Monday after a 4-1 home defeat to Liverpool last weekend, but wasted no time in landing his replacement.

Moyes came in on Tuesday, signing a deal until the end of the season with the intention of keeping West Ham in the Premier League, with changes potentially coming in the January transfer window.

The Mirror report that Moyes has been given permission to sell any underperforming players, including struggling summer signing Marko Arnautovic.

The Austrian attacker joined Stoke City in a club-record deal over the summer, but has yet to register a goal or an assist for the Hammers, whilst he was even sent off in just his second game for the club earlier this season.

Arnautovic is struggling for form, and unless he turns things around before January, he could be primed for the chopping block as the Hammers look to fund other deals.

Cashing in so soon on Arnautovic hasn't gone down well with some fans on Twitter, calling the idea 'pathetic' and pleading for him to be given more of a chance to shine before being offloaded.

Others aren't quite so patient, and believe West Ham would be lucky to get £10million for Arnautovic, with one supporter even calling for Manchester United's Ashley Young to be signed as a replacement.
