Sam Allardyce has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 9th November, that he believes Wolverhampton Wanderers have what it takes to be promoted this season, but he expects them to face competition from Aston Villa.

Wolves currently lead the way in the Championship, after making a blistering start to the new campaign.

Nuno’s side have won 11 of their first 16 league matches, and they have played some scintillating football over that time.

Allardyce now believes that Wolves have the capabilities to make it to the Premier League, but he expects Villa to push them hard.
