Neil Lennon has criticised Tony Cascarino for his comments on Celtic.

Former Celtic and now Hibs manager Neil Lennon has criticised popular football pundit Tony Cascarino for his recent comments on Celtic.
Celtic made a Scottish record under Brendan Rodgers by remaining 63-match unbeaten in domestic competitions.
However, according to Cascarino, the Hoops’ run was ‘irrelevant’. He went on to say on the Jim White Show that Celtic romping the league is like Manchester City winning League One.
Cascarino, the former Celtic player, has even branded the Scottish Premiership the “weakest league in Europe”.
Neil Lennon, the Parkhead legend, has criticised Cascarino for being disrespectful towards Celtic. He adds that the competition and the quality of the games are refreshing.

“It is disrespectful. How much Scottish football does Tony watch?,” said Lennon, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“To go 63 games at any level is remarkable. Celtic are an excellent side and they proved that with a few games in the Champions League.
“We’re not getting the money the English clubs can get but the Scottish game is improving. It’s getting healthier. You only have to look at the calibre of manager working up here to see that there is definitely an upturn.
“There is still that rawness here. There is still that passion. It’s still a working-class sport up here. You don’t have too many prawn sandwich brigades, who kill the soul of the game. I’ve been to a lot of grounds in England where the atmosphere is awful.”

To go 63 games undefeated at any level deserves a lot of praise. This is why Lennon’s views make sense. Celtic have not only showed their class in domestic games, but in European competitions as well.
Obviously, teams like Bayern Munich and PSG are well above them in terms of quality, but Celtic did give Bayern a tough fight at home.
