How has German frontman Pierre-Michel Lasogga fared since joining Leeds United in the summer?
With a third of the season now behind us, summer signings across the country have settled in and can now start to be judged based on their starts to life at their respective clubs.
Here we take a look at Leeds United summer signing Pierre-Michel Lasogga.
The 25-year-old, on loan from Hamburger for the season, Lasogga has made a solid start to life at Elland Road, despite some underwhelming performances in recent weeks.
After netting twice on his debut in a 5-0 romp over a freefalling Burton Albion side, expectations for the German were naturally high.
Whilst he hasn't quite replicated the performance we saw against Burton since, five goals in ten league games is a solid return, and with Pawel Cibicki and Jay-Roy Grot misfiring, Lasogga has firmly established himself as first choice at Elland Road.
It's important to remember that Lasogga is naturally still adapting to the division, and despite being expertly marshalled out of the game by the Brentford and Sheffield United defences in recent weeks, the 6 feet 3 inch tall striker provides a previously-missing presence up top for Thomas Christiansen's side and looks like he could be a force at Championship level.
Lasogga hasn't endured a perfect start to life at Elland Road, but if his early performances are anything to go by, Leeds fans can look forward to a fruitful season from their German targetman.
