Rangers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking Steve McClaren with the vacant managerial role at Ibrox.

The Gers are on the lookout for a new manager following the recent departure of Pedro Caixinha.

Caixinha was dismissed from his managerial role at Rangers due to disappointing results and performances in the Scottish Premiership this season.

According to The Times, Rangers are interested in appointing Caixinha as their new permanent manager

It has been reported that Rangers’ director of football, Mark Allen, believes that the former Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest boss is the right man for the Ibrox job.
