Newcastle United fans have urged manager Rafael Benitez to drop Ayoze Perez for this weekend’s Premier League game against Bournemouth.
The Magpies will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Bournemouth at St. James’ Park.
Benitez’s side will head into the match against the Cherries on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Burnley away from home at Turf Moor in the league.
Perez featured against the Clarets, starting the Premier League game and playing for 76 minutes.
The 24-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as an attacking midfielder, failed to make a huge impact on the match.
The former Spain Under-21 international seems to have established himself as an important player for Newcastle, having started all 10 Premier League games this season.
Newcastle fans, though, want manager Benitez to drop Perez from the starting lineup against Bournemouth this weekend.
The Magpies are ninth in the Premier League table at the moment with 14 points from 10 matches.
