Lookman has made just three starts for Everton this season.
Everton fans are discussing Ademola Lookman's first start since August on Twitter.
The £7 million January recruit showed great promise in his first half-season at Everton, but had found himself largely overlooked by Ronald Koeman and David Unsworth this campaign.
Yet, more than three months after his last starting appearance - which came Everton's Europa League fourth qualifying round tie against Hajduk Split - Lookman was back in his side's first eleven in Lyon on Thursday.
And although the result was on the whole a negative one - Everton losing 3-0 and exiting Europe's secondary club competition with two group games remaining - the 20-year-old's display appears to have left a positive impression on many Blues fans.
Most of those are hoping that Lookman will now be given a run in the first team, with several fearful of a January exit for the former Charlton player if not.
How has lookman not been near that starting 11? Ridiculous. When you think of the lack of pace and width and hes been siting there— EFC People's Group (@ThePeoplesGroup) November 3, 2017

Only positives from tonight: Pickford kept it down again, Beni gave us a bit of bite in midfield, Lookman should be a guaranteed starter— Patrick Burke (@pburke_CL1907) 2 November 2017
