Villa boss Steve Bruce addressed the media during his post-match press conference, following his side's superb 2-0 away win at Preston North-End last night, and highlighted one particular area where his side could have done better, as quoted by the club's official website.
The Villans climbed up to fifth position in the Championship table after last night's victory, and now sit just six points adrift of league leaders Wolverhampton Wanders, with 31 games still to be played.
Bruce has endured criticism from some sections of the Villa Park faithful during his time in charge of the club, but it seems as though he has finally settled on a line-up and formation that is working.
The Villa boss spoke to reporters after the game, and despite praising his side's efforts, he drew attention to the fact that it was by no means a complete performance, as quoted by AVFC.co.uk:
"Well, we played very, very well at Barnsley and Burton, too. If we’re being honest we could probably have scored a few more. If we’re nitpicking, we had some really good chances. But overall, we are delighted. It’s never easy coming here. It was very pleasing."

Next up for the west Midlands outfit is a huge game at home against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, and Bruce will be desperate for his side to pick up all three points before they head into the two week international break.
