People News - Barclays, Wells Fargo

Troels Oerting, the head of cyber and information security at Britain’s Barclays Plc, has taken a leave of absence, sources familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.

Reuters reports that Oerting, a former Europol cybercrime expert, was not immediately available for comment but one source said his move was not related to an investigation into an attempt by CEO Jes Staley to unmask a whistleblower at Barclays.

In the meantime, the news agency reports that the investment banking and capital markets business of Wells Fargo said it has appointed Mary Katherine DuBos as head of debt capital markets, effective immediately.

DuBos, who has more than 20 years of investment banking experience, will be based in Charlotte.
