Report: Everton to hold talks with Sam Allardyce today

Everton are reportedly interested in appointing Sam Allardyce as their new manager.

According to The Sun, Everton will hold talks with Sam Allardyce in London today.

Everton are looking for a new manager following the recent departure of Ronald Koeman.

It has been reported that Allardyce is on the radar of the Toffees, and that talks between the two parties will be held today in London.

The Sun has claimed that the former Newcastle United and West Ham United manager wants a contract for the next two-and-a-half years.

Allardyce also wants a bumper pay deal and a survival bonus, as well as his own backroom staff, according to the report.

“Allardyce is keen on Craig Shakespeare, just sacked by Leicester City as manager, and keeper coach Martyn Margetson,” adds the report in The Sun.

Allardyce is a very good manager and knows the Championship inside out, and he would be a good managerial appointment for Everton.

Although the Toffees have a strong squad, the fact that they are in the bottom three suggests that they could be fighting for survival in the Premier League.

Former Crystal Palace manager Allardyce is an expert in keeping struggling clubs up.
